This week I continue the dive into 4X games but this time settle in to what has been, at least so far, my favorite 4X of 2021. Remnants of the Precursors has been in development for years as its small team works bit by bit and piece by piece to rebuild the original Master of Orion. And although I missed out on that game in my youth (I was more interested in medieval and D&D settings) I have no problem settling in and play this one. Yes, the graphics are very simple. True, there are not nearly as many complicated spinning plates all trying to compete for your attention. But what Remnants does it does well, and I look forward to showing it off on Twitch in the coming months. The game releases in full on December 25, 2021. For today? We're gonna take the Ursoc out for a flight.
