Reorganizing My Funko POP! Collection! (Organizing Funko, and Smart Storage For The Boxes!)
In todays video we take a total left turn from our usual, and make it about the “toyz” in our channels name. Lately I have been feeling claustrophobic from the ever growing Funko collection and have been desperately thinking how to make the clutter better. After some research, I found that taking the Funkos from the box does very little to the resale value. That was all I needed to take off on this adventure. I went onto Amazon for display solutions and found these clear acrylic riser shelfs for Funko or small items for display. With each riser you can fit 12 Funko. For this project I ordered a total of 10, 6 for my Ikea 75” floating shelf, and 4 for my 42” Ikea floating shelf. For the 75” shelf this increased my storage from the 46 currently to 72 Funkos. This takes the biggest majority of my Star Wars collection, and puts it on a single shelf. Then on the 42” shelf it makes the capacity 48 Funkos total, thus taking all my odd ball themed Funko and putting them on single shelf. So once we have the Funko displayed out of box, what do we do with the boxes? Well, I have a system for that. Its starts off with getting 27 gallon storage bins, each of these bins can hold 36 regular Funko boxes. You can find these bins at Sam’s Club, Costco, Home Depot, etc. Then to keep track I found a organization app for storing things called BoxOrganizer. With the app you are allowed to input pictures of each item, and their descriptions, so you know what bin has what box. This is a system I have chosen incase I have to go back and find a box in the case I need to sell a Funko. To finish the video off I give a quick tour of the Star Wars portion of the project complete. I still have the other portion of Funko, that I will do off camera. As a bonus project, I show off my new art I grabbed for my bedroom bathroom. I decided to use displate.com to get small movie posters from the Star Wars Prequels printed on metal sheets to replace some very generic artwork. As always please comment your thoughts down below.
