NEW! Lego Star Wars Ghost & Phantom II! (With This, Do I Still Need The 2014 Model?)
14Today we are building the Lego Star Wars Ghost & Phantom II set #75357, with 1,394 pieces. This set is a very pleasant surprise and I am very happy to be able to finally get a Lego copy of the Ghost. I watched Rebels earlier this year, and after 4 quick seasons, I thought to go check out if Lego ever built any sets to support the show. I quickly found the Ghost from 2014, but with a quick price check I found that currently a sealed copy would set you back $760. So I dismissed that very quickly. But with the arrival of the Disney Plus Show Ahsoka, which is basically Rebels Pt 2, we get a plethora of new Star Wars Lego Sets pertaining to the show. And that bring us to the New 2023 version of the Ghost with the Phantom II, with the minifigs Officer Hawkins, Lt. Beyton, General Syndulla, Jason Syndulla, and Chopper. In the unboxing we find two sticker sheets, thirteen building steps of bags, and a single book. In the build, bag one brings us the Phantom II and one Minfig, and the rest of the twelve bags builds, the other Minifigs and the Ghost itself is built. The build went by in around 5 hours, and had zero conflicts or issues. Reviewing the set we can see the nice printed detail on the minifigs. The Phantom II is small, but has a lot of nice detail and is made complete by an array of sticker elements. The ghost itself is very colorful, and the front slides off the load the lower cockpit, and the roof removes to access the internals. There are doors on either side of the Ghost as well as two comps the open for flight and shooters for minifigs. The board scored this set a 91, and that is a definite recommend. I really desired this set to bring Rebels into my collection, and if you have yet to do the same, this set is perfect for you! Also if you are looking for a nice afternoon Star Wars Lego set to build, this is an excellent option. As always please comment your thoughts down below.
