As promised, dear gamers, Resident Evil content on this channel will not decrease yet, as i am intent on recording an original PS1 trilogy before moving onto remaking some of my older projects, namely walkthroughs of all GTA games currently posted on the channel with an exception of San Andreas as it is still on haitus. However, while we're still with Resident Evil, it is time to record the game that started it all, a godfather of modern survival horror genre, the game in question is 1996 version of Resident Evil. For reference, i will record only Chris scenario as i consider it canon and since it is impossible to create a sensible storyline with both Chris and Jill due to either character being locked up for majority of the game depending on who player picks.

About Game: Resident Evil (Known as Biohazard in Japan) is 1996 third-person fixed camera survival horror video game developed and published by Capcom for Sony PlayStation, MS-DOS computers and Sega Saturn with updated version for Nintendo DS known as Resident Evil: Deadly Silence (RE: DS) being released in 2006, overhauled remake of the game that saw subequent HD ports being released for Nintendo GameCube in 2002 and a DualShock-compatible release with updated difficulty modes, music, gameplay details, cutscenes and added DualShock controller support known as Resident Evil: Director's Cut being released in 1997. Alongside Sega's arcade rail shooter The House Of The Dead released the same year, Resident Evil is often considered to be one of the most influential horror video games in history, having reintroduced zombies into mainstream after nearly three decades of absence with Resident Evil having even coined the term "survival horror" that will soon develop into its own video game genre, its gameplay asthetics having been copied and adopted by other developers who tried to compete with Resident Evil throughout late 1990s and early-to-mid 2000s, including Konami, whose attempt to challenge Resident Evil gave birth to equally popular Silent Hill franchise in 1999 with RE's influence in horror games being felt strongly up until the end of 6th console generation in mid-2000s. Game proved popular enough to warrant multiple sequels and spin-offs released between 1998 and 2021, a prequel released in 2002 and a movie series starring Milla Jovovich as well as several CG-animated tie-in movies released between 2008 and 2017 and a simillarly styled Netflix series produced in 2021, effectively turning Resident Evil into potent multimedia franchise.

Story Of the game is set during the night of July 24th, 1998 and follows several members of the Alpha Team of Special Tactics And Rescue Service (S.T.A.R.S.), a police unit from fictional midwestern town of Raccoon City as they are sent into the mountaineous Arklay region on the Raccoon City outskirts to find out what happened to Bravo Team, S.T.A.R.S. members who have gone radio silent after being sent into the area to investigate it for clues about a series of cannibalistic murders occurring in the region. As they fly over the woods, unit sees a wreackage of Bravo Team's helicopter before being attacked by a pack of dog-like monsters, resulting in death of one of their teamates as their pilot panicks and flies off, forcing four survivors, Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Barry Burton and Alpha Team commander Albert Wesker to take shelter in seemingly abandoned mansion as they are still pursued by monstrous dogs. However, this proves to be a bad idea as Barry remains unaccounted for once the group enters the house, leading the other three to proclaim him dead. To make things worse, Chris heads deeper into the house, quickly finding a zombie-like man eating one of the Bravo Team members. Upon dispatching a zombie, he returns to his teamates only to find them missing as well, leaving Chris completely alone in a house full of dangerous monsters and equally dangerous contraptions...
