Resident Evil 2 Remake! Hardcore Mode Difficulty, Leon Scenario A - PC (Part 1 of 2)
2I'm so happy to finally get another chance to play through Resident Evil 2 Remake again. We played this back at launch, but it was before I started the whole retro adventure, so we had no recordings on the channel. This is not only one of the best RE games, but also one of the best remakes of a game from an already legendary game. Capcom saw the opportunity to go back to its roots with a new engine and perspective without going overboard and changing too much. One example is the much darker areas, which look amazing with an over-the-shoulder camera. Mr. X now actively stalks you and plays a much larger role in the story. The side characters have lengthier sections that are unique to them. New defensive items and weapons, but enemies feel more dangerous since you have to actually aim at weakpoints now. You also still have the two scenarios for Leon and Claire with a bunch of DLC content that matches up to the original. All difficulties are unlocked at the start, and on hardcore, you have to use ink ribbons, which add more strategy to your saves. I was immediately reminded why this was a masterpiece and why this was a great introduction to any new player to the series or to modern survival horror. This is Part 1 of our playthrough.
