The bodies of three soldiers killed in Afghanistan on Sunday have been repatriated to the UK.
Warrant Officer Class 2 (WO2) Leonard Perran Thomas of The Royal Corps of Signals, Guardsman Craig Andrew Roderick and Guardsman Apete Saunikalou Ratumaiyale Tuisovurua of 1st Battalion the Welsh Guards.
The soldiers were part of a Police Advisory team working in the Nahr-e Saraj district of Helmand.
Whilst leaving a checkpoint on the 1st of July they were shot and killed in the latest in a series of what have been called Green on Blue attacks.
Their alleged killer dressed in Afghan Police Uniform was injured and later detained, a second Policeman is also believed to be in custody in connection with the shootings.
