In this episode of Retro Flashback, I take a look at Kung Fu for the NES. This is widely considered to be the first beat em' up game ever released and came out on a ton of platforms but the NES version is the one most remember. Despite not caring much for its successor Vigilante (which I've covered in the past), I actually enjoy this game a lot more because it feels much tighter and that it isn't designed to be cheap and mean. It has an elegant simplicity to it that makes it a lot of fun. Also, dat beat!
