Since I could not get the CF card running properly (I could write but not read from it), I decided to get the XT CF Lite card made. It features an EEPROM chip with the custom XT IDE universal BIOS, which supports CF cards and IDE drives of almost arbitrary size. It lets you use modern disks and storage media on old PCs.
