I thought the camera might be too close to the player. I changed my res code so that I could change how the camera's width and height were defined.
Problem one: My portal UI wasn't designed perfectly, with the UI variables all being placed independently, which causes some strange effects when the resolution is messed with.
I'll just have to correct that moving forwards.
