Okay! Got over that creative hurdle. Enemies aren't done yet - there are still more states to program - but at least there's something presentable!
The porcupine starts out in an idle/wandering state. It doesn't care about the player, but will attack if the player steps into it. Attack the porcupine, and it becomes hostile. It will start chasing the player - either one of them.
Then it will calm down after thirty seconds.
This is the "parent" for other NPCs; all of the code will be stored here so that I can change certain states when I need to.
