Rival Schools Evolution (USA) [PS1] - Glitch characters
This is a play-through of 1P Game mode using two "glitch" characters in the PS1 USA version of Rival Schools (Evolution disc). Read on below for more information...
These two are "glitch" characters found in the EXTRA characters section of the game. They are "out-of-bounds" characters which means that they cannot be normally be selected, making them unplayable.
The first one is a Pacific High School character, and the second one is a Taiyo High School character. Both are female, although one is questionable.
===== ABOUT THE PACIFIC CHARACTER =====
---- The most interesting thing about her is that she has a male face (eyes and nose) and a male voice. It's like a case of cross-dressing. In the Japanese version of the game in Simulation mode, when choosing the face designs, you CANNOT have any male features on the females and vice-versa. For this glitch character it seems that some kind of corruption has happened to set the male face features onto a female character. The mouth graphic is messed up though.
---- The character's lifebar/gauge icons and name text are glitched.
---- If you beat the game with her, it gives you the generic Extra hidden character ending.
---- Moves-wise, the character seems to be based on the hidden character Teru.
===== ABOUT THE TAIYO CHARACTER =====
---- Has a glitched/corrupted face and shoulders. Otherwise, she's your standard Taiyo Extra character template.
---- The character's lifebar/gauge icons and name text are glitched.
---- If you beat the game with her, it gives you the generic Extra hidden character ending.
---- Moves-wise, the character seems to be a unique kind and not like any of the other Extra hidden characters.
===== ADDITIONAL INFORMATION =====
---- The game is known as Shiritsu Justice Gakuen: Legion of Heroes in Japan.
===== ABOUT RIVAL SCHOOLS EVOLUTION (DISC 1) =====
This is basically a unique version of the vanilla/arcade version of Rival Schools. The game has many extra modes of play and features not found on the Arcade disc. There are also gameplay balance changes too. However it does not have some features of the Arcade disc though, such as the arcade character select screen, versus screens and most notably the dedicated story scenes and dialogues.
