Rob Plays "Skyfox" (C64)
27A brief play (with commentary) of Skyfox on the C64, a 1985 release by Electronic Arts (based on the original Apple II version released a year earlier).
Unlike most ports during this era, this one was handled by the game's original coder, Ray Tobey, and I think it comes off rather well, with the only let down being the slight lag in handling some key inputs - but that could be something that's related to emulation, and not the game itself :)
I played this quite a lot when I was younger, and playing it now - it still holds up incredibly well. The mix of action and strategy is more than enough to provide a great challenge, one which is most certainly worth checking out.
