Rockman & Forte: Mirai kara no Chōsensha Game Sample - WonderSwan
Original Air Date: July 01st, 2009
This is a game sample for the somewhat uncommon and fairly pricey Rockman/Megaman game, Rockman & Forte: Mirai kara no Chōsensha, for the WonderSwan. It looks and plays enough like a Rockman title, but there are a lot of small and big adjustments to the gameplay that will make some diehard fans scratch their heads.
In this game, Rockman and Forte are out to stop the mysterious leader of a gang of robots, Rockman Shadow (who is really a particular boss from another old Rockman/Megaman game). They each have many of their staple abilites from the Super Famicom game and can buy goods from shops, get powers from bosses, etc. One of the strangest things about this game is that bosses don't have particular weaknesses. All the weapons generally deal the same damage from my understanding, so you'll have to rely on how many times a weapon can hit a boss or how well it can get through their attacks to get an advantage out of the sub-weapons.
Going down ladders is a tad bit different as well as the regular buster's attack speed and the strange (but helpful) characteristic of enemy fire disappearing from the screen when an enemy is defeated. Enjoy.
