Rolling Line Gameplay (Episode 141 - Part 1) Under the Wires with a P5A
Today we are having a look at another one of Drob217's layouts. This one is called 'Electric City Lines', and it's another one of those layouts built using the outside table on the main layout. It has three different routes which are all electrified. Technically each of the seven tracks is its own isolated loop, as they are no crossovers on the layout to speak of.
For Part 1, I decided to use a modded locomotive instead of one from the usual library. Said mod is the Pennsylvania Railroad P5A class (linked below), and she will be pulling some Mainline Steam AO coaches (similar to what JB 1236 had on her Whanganui excursions in early 2018).
We start our run with the P5A at the big station in - what I assume to be - the hub of the layout. There are a lot of other trains running today, too many for me to remember. As we drive along with the P5A, we will see most of these additional trains.
Part 1 ends with a shot of the P5A running past the big station without stopping.
