Ryu max damage 7K level 1 combo Marvel vs Capcom infinite.. Or at least aiming for it... read info
Not quite as exciting as this one eh?

So now that I made a couple combo videos for strider and ryu like I said I would. While im bored and just fiddling with the game randomly I thought I would start to try to actually optimize some combos..
So of course one of the main quirks(cough problems)about this game is that once you get to around half life any excuse you give the opponent will tech. So fooling around if we were to aim for max damage with ryu a few notes might be worth while...
Ending your combo with a air combo is probably useless as one of the first things to go is air hurricane kick as super will not combo from it the higher we go.. so we have to end the combo in a ground combo.. air hurricane kick combos to super fireball a little more on the ground but still.. this must also go.. so we get further along and it would seem our best bet is just a sweep to fireball then super fireball.
Going for a upwards super fireball to link DP is pointless because besides the tech buffer becoming a problem, the furhter a projectile travels in this game the less damage it does so this also hurts us if we are aiming for max damage.
Id theorize for the timing being a max level 1 combo with ryu no gems etc, we probably want to get as close to we can get to 6k or around that and then end with the sweep, fireball to super. Any more than that and the guy will tech so the problem will be finding the optimal combo to get to this specific quota.
Also of note its important to waste your slide potential as soon as possible as its one of the first things the tech buffer will eat up. As a matter of fact strangely although I can not confirm it for the entire cast, fiddling with the game, I have actually seen instances assuming you can actually jimmy the game into letting the character slide at higher levels of a combo, moves will straight up go entirely through the opponent while they are sliding and you cant hit them period. Go figure that one out.
Notes of course I could have done a fireball wave dashed in before i started this but I wanted to do something that was more probable or potential to happen in a real match. With of course again the handicap of no gems, etc
Id assume 7.5 is maybe potentially possible with one level. But any higher than that and im iffy as the game is now and with the handicap ive given myself. If you add a couple more mediums in you only get a measly 13 points more damage. So ya gonna take some thought process on how to actually get a chunk higher.
