Marvel vs Capcom infinte ryu combo video day one... MvCI (part 1) solo dolo
OK well this video was delayed a bit because health was shit and basically fighting to keep myself out of the ER. And 2.. I could not get the clips to upload from my ps4. Kept giving me a error. Anyone know how to fix this? I ended up having to download sharefactory and get them that way after giving up.
Anyway day one ryu combos, theres also a second video as well to come. I also have some strider day one combos too, and im sure ill do a couple with him at the end of the day, as well as a tag video for them like my old ryu and akuma tag team combo videos. Other than that not particularly interested in the game...
My impression of it is, its the most mashy game I can ever recall making a video for or playing. I think it feels very awkward and its strange to me. Its like they took away a bunch of unique stuff from ryu, all those cool links and weird shit that I did in my old videos, and just sorta made slapped some things on him and hoped that they would sorta stick. Thats kinda the whole vibe of the game for me though, like they threw a bunch of stuff on a wall and kinda left you to put the pieces together and said deal with it. Unfortuatnely they didnt put enough glue on the pieces and they were missing some pieces so you have a janky feeling game, that I guess is "cool" because you can switch out whenever. But because of that they put a bunch of fail safes in the game that make it not particular interesting to me. As i feel that anyone can call assists, call a partner to help them, use a gym. Its less unique and makes it not as fun to me....
Anyway a few notes about the video. I should say in no one do I think this is maxamized like a lot of my other videos were, im not particulary interested in getting into a frame war wiht this game as again its kinda janky to me. Of particular interest combo wise is, im sure if you watch it looks like I can link fierces way more so it may seem strange that I do some lights even though I shouldnt need to. Well for whatever reason the tech buffer becomes more severe in this game when you do hards vs lights so you can do the same combo with a tighter link harder timing whatever you want to call it that should do more damage. But because you did a hard instead of a light, the combo just drops. Its stupid. takes away the skill of it, and makes it feel more mashy.
Ryus super hurricane kick although it looks like you should be able to do some cool stuff with it, like wave dashing after it etc. Your options are really limited because it uses one of your ground slides, and you only actually HIT the opponent when they stop sliding. So you actually used TWO of your juggle/combo options, for only one extender. PLus the move rapes the tech buffer so the dude is already just waiting for any excuse to tech and flip out.. really disappointing.
In general thats how I felt, just hard to put things together since everything makes them tech to fast, so putting every piece in one puzzle is pretty much impossible beacuse their just isnt enough room for it, or enough glue to stick with anything. So your left with the most mashy ho hum laxadazical combo video I can think of.
Anyway bummer they took out so much fun stuff with him, quite disappointing.... I feel like all the stuff that people use to comment on my videos like how is that even possible etc just no longer is in the game... All those crazy mvc3 and UMVC3 links, people saying how are those humanly possible blah blah.. well none of that exists in this game to even try to show off again with a new system.
As usual just sticking to ryu himself for now, solo no gyms no assists anything..
Also it took a lot for me to not put another touhou song but i tried to resist....
