Easiest to show off vs big characters but a tricky thing you can do is the tech buffer of course also applies to the ground as well, your character will just start recovering faster. So do a full ground loop of jumping attacks, then end with a air excalibur the first hits will hit normally then the next hits the opponent recovers(since it cant truly combo)then it will cross up.
I have not fiddled with much of the system but strangely this does seem to be side specific. Or even player 1 or player 2 specific. I have not tested it much but of course this also applies to air versions as well potentially if you cuold find a correct set up.
But as it is easiest to do vs large characters standing...
