Marvel vs Capcom Infinite Strider hiryu solo combo video part 1 MVCI
Video was delayed because I ended up in the ER, I wanted to do more, and to fix a lot of the mistakes in this as of course there are a number of places where I could have added some jabs etc, but whatever I said I was gonna do a second video anyway for strider so let this just be the first one. Second for strider and ryu and the strider ryu tag team will be delayed till my health calms down a bit.... Anyway a few notes...
Again certainly this is not maxamized as theres a lot of places were I could have added a bit more, some jabs like I said. Or I only showed it once but it is possible to sweep, zoo friend, orb, link fierce but the timing is pretty damn tight on that, and im still trying to learn and get the muscle memory on how to play this game on a ps4 pad. So with health on top of that I kinda just left a lot of things as they were... Also although some places where it might seem ridiculously obvious that you should be able to add more might not always be the case. Unfortunately I ran into that dreaded tech buffer quite a bit in this. Certainly although strider did have some stuff taken away from him, he does have many new things that keep him kinda fun and give him new ideas in this game. Unfortuntaely tech buffer is just to severe to put most these in the same combos, so youre just left with one little neat thing here and there which is really disappointing. It would be nice if you were given a little more leeway with some of this because it would make it more fun but sadly a lot of stuff you would think would work they just start teching to fast very early on in the game combo which is a bummer.
Anyway not the most proud ive ever been of a video ive made, but I think I showed off a good amount of the new ideas he can do. And considering health, and trying to gain some new muscle memory it is what it is....They took away a lot of those double wall cling videos that I first showed to the community back in the day for my videos, they are harder now but stil doable. One way that I didnt show is it is also possible if you hit a late hitting air big slash , you can land fast enough to kara cancel basically your panther to a qcf+hp, which gives you enough time for the slash to hit, and then combo let the panther hit and then climb the wall again. But again problem with this is, the tech buffer is so extreme in this game its hard to set this up while doing anything cool before or after making it kinda meh... Of course I guess the one main thing they gave him is that original loop of orb big slash over and over from the last game that i discovered is now hella easy to do anywhere, still potentially awkward to set up, but doable anywhere and very easy now.
Also should mention the HK knock down link jump punch works vs most if not all characters just easier on some. But assuming you could somehow time it every time would be pretty nice, but probably not that realistic at all.
Anyway pretty mashy, and a lot of mistakes but I said I was gonna make a second so there it is. Anyway taking a break for awhile because of health unless something immediately comes to mind as being neat or cool.
