Tom ford oud wood intense and original review comparisons
Lots to the review but really busy and out of it because of hospital and health stuff this year so it is what it is
Not redundant towards the original in any way whatsoever. Whether or not that is a bad thing is up to you, but I think we can at least say its a misleading name.
Where as the original is quite wearable, even clean smelling and a good compliment getter. This is niche in every sense of the word. As in...
Extremely expensive/the idea that "normal" people would want to smell like this, or want to smell it period is stretching it. Its more than a vibe, its well.. niche.
Its not a stinky or funky oud per say, but its definitely outdoorsy. Theres a leather smell to it despite the notes as others have mentioned, and the cypress gives it that fresh sorta smoke smell to it. Theres also a bit of a burnt factor to it, as well as a mechanical touch.
Again for me personally this is the niche stigma in a negative way. Obviously in that sense, since it performs quite potent performance, its going to have some fans. But I think to normal people theres other stuff that can at least sorta go in this direction while being more wearable and just being its own kinda vibe.
