784Ryzen Stacked Dies CONFIRMED - Is 3D V Cache The Future of Zen CPUs? | FSR Benchmarks REVEALED
At their Computex 2021 conference, AMD had a lot to share about the future of Ryzen, including confirmation of 3D stacked dies for Zen processors. The new tech, dubbed 3D V Cache, was shown off complete with performance benchmarks and architecture changes that made the revolutionary new design possible. A lot was shown off at AMD's Computex conference, but the 3D V cache technology was definitely one of the stars.
We examine the gaming benchmarks for Ryzen 3D stacked dies, which have been rumoured for some time now to be the future of Zen CPUs vs the very impressive Zen 3 Ryzen 5000 processors. If 3D V cache (or 3D stacked dies if you prefer) become a permanent feature of the Ryzen CPU roadmap, we could see the Ryzen dominance in gaming and workload performance increase against Intel.
We also saw the performance benchmarks for FidelityFX Super Resolution, or FSR, be shown off by AMD. We discussed some of the performance numbers in games yesterday, but Computex still offered our first real, official look at what AMD's answer to DLSS upsampling has to offer.
On Nvidia's side, we saw the official reveal of RTX 3070 Ti and RTX 3080 Ti, including specs and prices for both new RTX 30 GPUs as well as confirmation of more games which will support RTX ray tracing. With ray tracing becoming more and more prevalent, and the addition of the RTX 3070 Ti and RTX 3080 Ti which look to be great ray tracing choices, more software support for RTX is essential.
