Saints Row Part 10. First of three to fall. (New Game)
6Part Synopsis: Gotten a tip that Angelo is at the airport, ready to take off for good, Dex gets Playa to rush over there and eliminate him for good. On a short time limit, reaching the area isn't too difficult. They arrive as Angelo waits for Luz to join him, only to immediately depart on their interruption.
Needing to deal with Los Carnales armed with RPGs that make quick work of the car becomes a hideous pain. During several retries, it's learned the barrels stationed by each guard need to be focused on as opposed to hitting them directly.
Once that's dealt with, the plane is wide open for target and blown to bits. Luz gets there afterwards, now left with no one to rely on. Playa and Dex show zero sympathy towards her, forcing the distraught woman away. Los Carnales are now officially done with. Having been abducted, Lin is forced to call Playa to a pool hall.
Killing everyone once there, both end up in the trunk of Will's car. Disclosing Lin's association with the Saints to Donnie, he leaves in mass confusion. Shooting Lin, he pushes the vehicle into the water. Playa manages to escape then catch up with Sharp and blow him to kingdom come. Lin's fate remains uncertain.
Playthrough Information: This is not a blind let's play. Back on the OG Xbox 360, I messed around with Saints Row here or there. Never beat the game. Never looked up the plot details of anything. Exactly when I stopped playing is unknown, as this was many years ago. If I remember, I'll indicate with specific context in these videos.
My main focus will be the story missions. Side activities aren't a focus. Off camera acts to increase reputation won't be shown either. The first upload is captured on native Xbox 360, every following entry will be on Xbox Series X through backwards compatibility via the digital version. All videos will feature commentary and webcam usage.
About Game: Saints Row is a 2006 action-adventure game developed by Volition and published by THQ for the Xbox 360. It was released in North America on August 29, 2006. Set within the fictional city of Stilwater, the single-player story follows a player-created character who joins the 3rd Street Saints gang after they save his life, and helps them rise to prominence by undermining enemy criminal syndicates, while slowly building up his own reputation within the gang.
The storyline is non-linear, and divided into three separate story arcs for each rival gang that the player must defeat. Story missions are unlocked by trading in "Respect" points, currency earned by completing minigames and side-missions. Outside of the main story, players can freely roam Stilwater, consisting of two main islands. The game is played from a third-person perspective and its world is navigated on-foot or by vehicle.
Players can fight enemies using a variety of firearms, and call in non-playable gang members to assist them. An online multiplayer mode allows multiple players to engage in a variety of cooperative and competitive game modes. Saints Row received generally positive reviews upon release, with many critics favorably comparing it to the Grand Theft Auto series. It also did well financially, selling over 1 million copies by the end of 2006. The game's success launched the Saints Row franchise, starting with Saints Row 2 in October 2008.
