3Part Synopsis: Being informed that Lin's body was found dead, Price rises up some allies to attack the church. Troy warns of the incoming mob, prompting Julius and Playa to intercept the convoy as they're enroute. After taking out all the vehicles, Price manages to get away clean.
To continue attacking Vice Kings, Playa and Johnny wear yellow clothing to cause mayhem and shifting the blame to their group. Upon causing a ruckus, the duo head downtown and attack some local stores. Two landmarks nearby are also vandalized.
More pressure is put on the VKs, causing Warren and Benjamin to stress out. A grocery owned by King being guarded by gang members is dealt with. Price's Mansion is sieged next. Taking his car, it's brought to Forgive and Forget in preparation for the next task.
Playthrough Information: This is not a blind let's play. Back on the OG Xbox 360, I messed around with Saints Row here or there. Never beat the game. Never looked up the plot details of anything. Exactly when I stopped playing is unknown, as this was many years ago. If I remember, I'll indicate with specific context in these videos.
My main focus will be the story missions. Side activities aren't a focus. Off camera acts to increase reputation won't be shown either. The first upload is captured on native Xbox 360, every following entry will be on Xbox Series X through backwards compatibility via the digital version. All videos will feature commentary and webcam usage.
About Game: Saints Row is a 2006 action-adventure game developed by Volition and published by THQ for the Xbox 360. It was released in North America on August 29, 2006. Set within the fictional city of Stilwater, the single-player story follows a player-created character who joins the 3rd Street Saints gang after they save his life, and helps them rise to prominence by undermining enemy criminal syndicates, while slowly building up his own reputation within the gang.
The storyline is non-linear, and divided into three separate story arcs for each rival gang that the player must defeat. Story missions are unlocked by trading in "Respect" points, currency earned by completing minigames and side-missions. Outside of the main story, players can freely roam Stilwater, consisting of two main islands. The game is played from a third-person perspective and its world is navigated on-foot or by vehicle.
Players can fight enemies using a variety of firearms, and call in non-playable gang members to assist them. An online multiplayer mode allows multiple players to engage in a variety of cooperative and competitive game modes. Saints Row received generally positive reviews upon release, with many critics favorably comparing it to the Grand Theft Auto series. It also did well financially, selling over 1 million copies by the end of 2006. The game's success launched the Saints Row franchise, starting with Saints Row 2 in October 2008.
