Saints Row Part 8. The real deal. (New Game)
3Part Synopsis: Outside of a Westside Rollerz home owned by Uncle Will, Playa overhears a conversation about their gang about to intercept a convoy of trucks owned by the Saints. Hurrying to protect the vehicles, things go awry when once again, ammo is limited to use while driving. The trucks being easy to destroy doesn't help either.
After maxing out SMG and Pistol bullets, the job is completed on the third try. Lin's cover appears to be untouched. Back at the church, a meeting with the allies gets interrupted by the whole area getting besieged from Los Carnales goons. Defending their home turf, Victor appears and is eliminated for good. This sets off Anthony on a warpath. Having doubts about working with them any further, an agreement is made between Julius and The Columbians to side together instead.
If the confiscated drugs are recovered from an evidence impound safely, the deal is set. Playa explodes the wall over there then holds off the oncoming police response before driving the goods back. Anthony tries to ambush the team at an adult club but fails. Manuel provides his address as gratitude for saving him.
Playthrough Information: This is not a blind let's play. Back on the OG Xbox 360, I messed around with Saints Row here or there. Never beat the game. Never looked up the plot details of anything. Exactly when I stopped playing is unknown, as this was many years ago. If I remember, I'll indicate with specific context in these videos.
My main focus will be the story missions. Side activities aren't a focus. Off camera acts to increase reputation won't be shown either. The first upload is captured on native Xbox 360, every following entry will be on Xbox Series X through backwards compatibility via the digital version. All videos will feature commentary and webcam usage.
About Game: Saints Row is a 2006 action-adventure game developed by Volition and published by THQ for the Xbox 360. It was released in North America on August 29, 2006. Set within the fictional city of Stilwater, the single-player story follows a player-created character who joins the 3rd Street Saints gang after they save his life, and helps them rise to prominence by undermining enemy criminal syndicates, while slowly building up his own reputation within the gang.
The storyline is non-linear, and divided into three separate story arcs for each rival gang that the player must defeat. Story missions are unlocked by trading in "Respect" points, currency earned by completing minigames and side-missions. Outside of the main story, players can freely roam Stilwater, consisting of two main islands. The game is played from a third-person perspective and its world is navigated on-foot or by vehicle.
Players can fight enemies using a variety of firearms, and call in non-playable gang members to assist them. An online multiplayer mode allows multiple players to engage in a variety of cooperative and competitive game modes. Saints Row received generally positive reviews upon release, with many critics favorably comparing it to the Grand Theft Auto series. It also did well financially, selling over 1 million copies by the end of 2006. The game's success launched the Saints Row franchise, starting with Saints Row 2 in October 2008.
