Saints Row Part 12. Vice civil uprising. (New Game)
2Part Synopsis: Following up after having taken Price's car, the man himself tries to run Playa over outside of a dealership. Giving chase, he's tasked with eliminating him for good. On a flatbed truck loaded with cars, Playa needs to destroy all of them then finish up with the detached cab.
Tons of problems ensue, not limited to: the Rollerz arriving to attack, the limited durability of the vehicle being driven, grenades being thrown by Price just to name a few. An early win is thwarted by dying a second or two before the win would've registered.
After finally completed, Playa works with Johnny to interrupt deals going on between the Vice Kings and police. They conclude by detonating explosives outside the music studio being rebuilt. Benjamin loses all respect among his group, prompting Tanya and Warren to stage a coup.
Julius hears from Ben about the uprising, having Playa rush to his location and save him. Upon finding King under siege by his own people, he's escorted to a car. Chasing after Warren, he's blown to bits and returned to the church. Having survived the explosion, Tanya finishes Warren off.
Playthrough Information: This is not a blind let's play. Back on the OG Xbox 360, I messed around with Saints Row here or there. Never beat the game. Never looked up the plot details of anything. Exactly when I stopped playing is unknown, as this was many years ago. If I remember, I'll indicate with specific context in these videos.
My main focus will be the story missions. Side activities aren't a focus. Off camera acts to increase reputation won't be shown either. The first upload is captured on native Xbox 360, every following entry will be on Xbox Series X through backwards compatibility via the digital version. All videos will feature commentary and webcam usage.
About Game: Saints Row is a 2006 action-adventure game developed by Volition and published by THQ for the Xbox 360. It was released in North America on August 29, 2006. Set within the fictional city of Stilwater, the single-player story follows a player-created character who joins the 3rd Street Saints gang after they save his life, and helps them rise to prominence by undermining enemy criminal syndicates, while slowly building up his own reputation within the gang.
The storyline is non-linear, and divided into three separate story arcs for each rival gang that the player must defeat. Story missions are unlocked by trading in "Respect" points, currency earned by completing minigames and side-missions. Outside of the main story, players can freely roam Stilwater, consisting of two main islands. The game is played from a third-person perspective and its world is navigated on-foot or by vehicle.
Players can fight enemies using a variety of firearms, and call in non-playable gang members to assist them. An online multiplayer mode allows multiple players to engage in a variety of cooperative and competitive game modes. Saints Row received generally positive reviews upon release, with many critics favorably comparing it to the Grand Theft Auto series. It also did well financially, selling over 1 million copies by the end of 2006. The game's success launched the Saints Row franchise, starting with Saints Row 2 in October 2008.
