A few days after I made the video that debunked the notion that WannaCry, or WannaCrypt, could infect Linux machines via WINE, we got news that there's a seven-year-old flaw with Samba, which could possibly allow a remote-code execution attack on Linux and Unix machines. There is a patch available for Linux, so be sure to apply it. This flaw also affect certain NAS devices, so be sure to check with the manufacturer to see if a patch is available for any of them that you might have.
