8Samurai Pizza Cats. What a fun little game from Tecmo! Bubbly music, real hot cats, plenty of level variance, and fun platforming make this game super playable. On top of that, you thought Ninja Gaiden did the cutscenes, right? Samurai Pizza Cats is on a whole new level. Between stages, you get to watch the story unfold right before your eyes as you get to know the cats, their friends, and their shameful enemies. There are 11 levels to play through, all featuring a boss. You will be able to control five different cats, each of which features their own unique abilities and weapons, and you can switch between them on the fly. For instance, you will need the helicopter cat to cross perilous gaps, the thicc cat to break blocks, and the scuba cat to make swimming through the waterways a breeze. You can switch between them at any time, and while sometimes it is needed to progress, you mostly get to play as your favorite Samurai Pizza Cat! This game should have come to America; it certainly would have been more talked about, as it's one of the best Japan-only games I have played. I will leave you with a couple pro tips. First, get the translation if you want to play it, and if you hit attack, then hit start right away, and switch to another cat, it causes your cat to auto-attack, so you can run through enemies without stopping and just have a romping good time.
