This video comprises three successful demos and two outtakes for the challenge of scoring all monsters, items and secrets from a pistol start on Scythe's Map 11 'Sneak Peak' without taking any damage. The first demo is cautious and descriptive, recorded with live commentary. The remaining four demos are attempts at speedrunning the challenge, culminating in the UV Max + Reality + Items World Record demo. There is also commentary on the entire video.
Scythe is the popular 32-level vanilla-compatible megawad completed by Erik Alm and Kim 'Torn' Bach in 2003 and can be downloaded for free from:

Speedrunning records are maintained by the DSDA (Doom Speed Demos Archive) at:

So the second episode of Scythe starts here, and it isn't messing around. The highlight is the archvile trap in the cave, when the first healer of the megawad is accompanied by zombies, imps and cacodemons. For no damage play, rockets must be used to take out the archvile as fast as possible, but splash damage is a constant hazard, as is being shot by the poxy zombies.
However, there are hitscan enemies throughout the map, expertly positioned as always by mapmaker Erik Alm. In the outro I explain how keeping the rockets/blue key platform raised on purpose could have improved my speedrunning performance. In any case, reaching the exit damage-free when rushing is infuriatingly difficult, not least because the Berserk presents constant dilemmas over when to use it versus the safer shotgun.
