Another Dynasty Warrios esque game, this is technically Devil Kings 3.

Like it's predecessors, this is a well structured hack 'n' slash title. It looks and plays really nicely on Nintendo Wii and has a much smoother difficulty curve than it's contemporaries also. Sengoku Basara has a whacky sense or humour, a unique and orginal art design, surprisingly addictive gameplay and a solid challenge.

For a Capcom release, it is a throwback to the 90s period when this sort of thing was standard of the company. Which is why it pains me once again that the reviewers and specialist gaming websites don't get it. I find the amount of flack that games like Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes receive absolutely dumbfounding. Gamespot gave this release a 4.5/10 on the basis of it's "Mindless, repetitive hack-and-slash action". If that isn't evidence enough that these "critics" don't understand the genre Sengoku Basara is being marketed to, I don't know what does.

Basically ignore those silly twits and try this one out. It is also available on Playstation 3, and with prettier HD graphics :3
