Sherlock Holmes VS Jack the Ripper (Part 12): Catherine Eddows' Murder
Part 12 of 16, of a walkthrough for "Sherlock Holmes VS Jack the Ripper". In this part, Holmes and Watson go to the scene of the next murder, which is twenty minutes away. He gets a thorough testimony from Abraham Solomonovitch, whose friend Joseph saw the murderer and victim. Holmes examines the corpse and double checks the movements of the police officers that night, to determine if it is possible that an officer passed by without noticing the victim. This allows Holmes to make a thorough timeline of the murder, as well as complete a deduction board.
A piece of the victim's apron was found near some graffiti, on Jewish High Street. Holmes and Watson go there. Watson is forced to find items and solve puzzles, to get a watering can with water. Holmes uses the watering can to learn that water washes away chalk, fairly quickly. That means the chalk graffiti was written shortly before it was discovered, which in turn, affects the timeline of Jack the Ripper's actions that night.
