Sherlock Holmes VS Jack the Ripper (Part 7): Perfume, Cats and Squibby
38Part 7 of 16, of a walkthrough for "Sherlock Holmes VS Jack the Ripper". In this part, Holmes goes to a bookstore, where he solves a puzzle with the signs, in order to get a book about perfumes. He analyzes the perfumes, then returns to Miss Bella with the results. As a thank you, she tells Holmes that Squibby is indeed at the local police station. She also gives him a perfume that is more popular with cats than humans.
Holmes gives the cat perfume to Danny. He goes to the pet store. It just so happens that his child friends are here, dealing with cats. Holmes helps them heal a sick cat and locate a cat food seller. The children collect many cats, then set them loose on Danny. This causes a large distraction for the local police.
While the singular police officer is distracted, Holmes breaks into the police station and talks to Squibby. Squibby has been locked up for his own protection, as a journalist has falsely accused him of being Jack the Ripper. Holmes agrees to locate the journalist and bring an end to the slander, in exchange for information on Dr. Tumblety.
Holmes goes to the pub, where he learns that the journalist is named Tom Bulling. Holmes could probably locate the journalist himself, but he decides to let his child friends do it, instead. He returns home, where he decodes the hidden message that Watson found.
