Sherlock Holmes VS Jack the Ripper (Part 6): The Gas Puzzle
44Part 6 of 16, of a walkthrough for "Sherlock Holmes VS Jack the Ripper". In this part, Holmes goes undercover as a gas man, in order to meet with Bluto. Bluto wants him to disable the gas at the abandoned building and retrieve a bag of stolen goods, which Bluto left there.
Holmes makes a ladder, to enter the abandoned building. He decides he needs a strong gas mask. To get one, he has to solve a slider puzzle, for a jewel. He gives it to the cobbler, in order to learn about a pet shop owner. The pet shop owner forces him to make a snake hook and a cage, in exchange for a strong mask.
Holmes solves the gas puzzle and gets the stolen goods. In exchange, Bluto says that the person who knows Dr. Tumblety is Squibby, who is currently in police custody. Even though Holmes is on good terms with the two leading police officers in the area, and even though Holmes has a GOOD REASON to enter the police station (namely, returning the stolen goods), he decides he can't walk into the police station. Instead, he makes it into a long series of puzzles.
First, he wants to learn if Squibby is in the police station. A woman named Danny says the women at Miss Bella's would know. Miss Bella promises to tell Holmes, in exchange for Holmes analyzing a box of perfumes.
