Part 9 of 16, of a walkthrough for "Sherlock Holmes VS Jack the Ripper". In this part, Holmes goes to the newspaper office where Tom Bulling works. Holmes distracts a man, snoops around Bulling's desk and solves a puzzle with Bulling's informant, over the telephone. Thanks to all this, Holmes knows that the letter sent to the police, allegedly from Jack the Ripper, is a fake letter written by Bulling.

Holmes takes an unnecessary trip to the police station in order to see this false letter. This both destroys his cover and gets him in trouble with the police.

Holmes then confronts Bulling. He threatens to reveal the truth, unless Bulling ceases his threats against Squibby. Holmes talks to Squibby, who, as promised, tells him about Dr. Tumblety. I must confess myself disappointed by the revelation that Dr. Tumblety lives in Dr. Tumblety's apartment, which is obvious.
