Sherlock Holmes VS Jack the Ripper (Part 3): The Cane and the Cobbler
56Part 3 of 16, of a walkthrough for "Sherlock Holmes VS Jack the Ripper". In this part, Watson meets Miss Bella. She says one her former employees, Margie, knows about Leather Apron. Bella promises to give Watson information on Dr. Tumblety, if he finds a cane that one of her clients lost. The cane appears to have been stolen by a coal man, who leaves dirty footprints.
As luck would have it, the cane is at the same clinic where Margie went. Dr. Gibbons refuses to release the cane, unless he gets a dozen harnesses for wooden legs. Margie's testimony clears Leather Apron of the murders. Dr. Watson talks to a Jewish cobbler, who knows Leather Apron. The cobbler agrees to make Dr. Watson some harnesses for wooden legs, in exchange for Watson formally clearing Leather Apron.
While Watson gives the relevant testimony to the police, he overhears a report about another murder victim. Watson and Holmes rush to the crime scene and perform an investigation.
