This video will show how I unlocked the Feat: Defend the Lab!

This can be quite tricky, as the boss likes to knock your bombs back at you. A lot. Even with the Impact Casing your bombs will not detonate on contact if they are deflected, and will most likely break one of the blocks.

Here is my preferred load-out for this fight. For the bomb: Lob Casing, Black Powder, and Sentry Fuse. With this bomb combination the bomb will be thrown up into the air, (the boss likes to jump frequently, but does not deflect bombs while jumping), and the Sentry Fuse will keep the bomb hanging in the air for a short time, and will hone-in on the boss if he comes near it.

I like to use the Spin Burst, but the choice is up to you as none of the Bursts will damage the blocks. As for Arcana, the only ones that damage the blocks are the Big Boom and Bait Bomb Arcana. All the other ones are perfectly safe to use. I highly recommend the Leech Liquid Arcana as it can easily keep you alive through all the hits you'll probably end up taking.

Going into this fight with 10 full pegs of health and 10 Tonics in reserve will give you a good fighting chance. And of course, if you accidentally break a block, let the boss kill you so you can try again from the checkpoint in the previous room.
