Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues - (Alpha Release 18 Gameplay) #1
1Welcome to another trip into New Britannia! This is of course Shroud of the Avatar preAlpha Release 18, which is available to backers of the Kickstarter or people who bought it off of Steam Early Access.
It looks like from the notes from the devs that there are a couple of new player towns to visit, improvements to creatures and resource spawning and the usual bugs and visual changes.
Thankfully the combat, which I mentioned in the previous two videos has been acknowledged as being somewhat broken and the guys at portalarium have made a bunch of fixes to stop you dying at every turn. I was able to kill a number of creatures successfully, however I do foresee a problem if there are multiple enemies, I can see the game being rather because there is no way to defend yourself. But again this is an alpha and isn't a reflection of the final product. Its also interesting that this is the first release where I noticed enemies fighting each other.
Unfortunately I've accidentally messed up the resolution in this video, I meant to record in widescreen; instead it came out in 1280x1024, so unless I fixed it in Youtube, you're unfortunately you're going to get this letterbox display.
