Skip Dr. Wily's Second Form in Mega Man V (Game Boy) - A Wild Glitch Appears! #shorts
3,478In Mega Man V for the Nintendo Game Boy, there's a very easy way to skip the second phase of the final Dr. Wily battle, which can save a solid chunk of time in a speedrun.
At the very end of Mega Man V, you face off against yet another crazy Wily Machine called the Brain Crusher. Does it crush brains? Inconclusive. But normally the way to defeat this penultimate boss is to shoot his time bombs back at him, and if they explode within his proximity, Dr. Wily will take damage.
Defeating the first form Brain Crusher in the intended way will cause much of his body to explode, then the spiky ceiling lowers and phase two of the Dr. Wily fight begins.
However, if you simply launch the Black Hole ability (gained from the Saturn Boss) at point blank range, this will also deal damage to the Brain Crusher. Furthermore, defeating the first phase of this boss using the Black Hole ability will cause the game to launch immediately into the post-fight cutscene just before the final boss, which entirely skips the second phase of the Brain Crusher fight.
So in other words, if you use the Black Hole to beat the first phase of the Brain Crusher, you will completely bypass phase 2 of the fight, and you will be send almost directly to the final boss, Sunstar.
