Skip Thunderbird in Zelda 2 (NES) - A Wild Glitch Appears! #zelda2
1,038In Zelda II: The Adventure of Link for the NES, there's a fairly simple glitch you can exploit that allows you to skip Thunderbird, who is probably the most annoying boss in the game. Here's how to skip Thunderbird:
After you pass a room with the giant blob enemy (sometimes called a Big Bot) that falls from the ceiling, there will be another room with a long disintegrating bridge. Below the disintegrating bridge, you will find a small gap in the floor where you can fall down to the lower level.
In this room with the disintegrating bridge, cast the JUMP spell. Now get ready with the FAIRY spell. Run to the right, and just after the hole in the floor is beyond the left edge of the screen, jump past the top of the screen and press SELECT to turn into a fairy. You may need to tap up on the D-Pad here, but if you do it correctly, Link will fall to another area and land on the ceiling of that room.
You should be on the ceiling of a room that looks like the room where a giant blob might fall out and slam you. You know what I mean. Now walk to the right above the gap in the ceiling, jump and cast FAIRY again. You might need to tap UP on the D-Pad, but Link will fall once more.
This time, you will land on the right side of a long room. Simply walk to the right, and you will enter the room with the final boss. Congratulations, you have skipped Thunderbird!
