THE MOST DANGEROUS ZIP (Mega Man 2, NES) - A Wild Glitch Appears! #megaman
609There's a fairly simple zip at the very last room in Quick Man's stage in Mega Man 2 that will get you through a long room in a short time. The problem is that it's even EASIER to mess it up, and if you do, you will be softlocked!
Throw Item-1 platforms in such a way that one platform will rise just to the left of the corner of the ceiling. Have Mega Man stand on the very right edge of the platform FACING RIGHT and the Item-1 should push you into the ceiling. Refer to the video, dogg!
Once Mega Man is stuck in the ceiling FACING RIGHT, throw another Item-1 then immediately tap LEFT. This will initiate the zip.
Now, here's where it gets tricky. If MegaMan zips PAST the boss doors, he will be forever stuck in the ceiling, and you'll have to reset. What you need to do is tap or hold RIGHT on the D-Pad as soon as Mega Man is lined up ABOVE (or one square past) the boss doors.
What you may want to do is tap RIGHT to stop the zip a little early, then WIGGLE your way to the square above the boss door. This can be done either by tapping LEFT to start the zip again, then hitting RIGHT to stop yourself, OR you can jump, then immediately press LEFT THEN RIGHT to move about one square at a time.
If you do the zip right, you should walk "through" the boss door, but you will be on the ceiling of the room just prior to Quick Man's room. Then you can just run to the right.
DO NOT JUMP into the boss room, or else Mega Man will fall down below the bottom of the screen and die. Then when you respawn you will die again until you get a game over.
