Cities Skylines 2 | AMD Ryzen 5 5600U (Vega 7) | HD 720p (UPDATE)
I already made this video when Cities Skylines 2 was released but the game was full of bugs and playing was more a challenge than a pleasure. After some time and a few patches developers fixed most bugs and I believe optimize the game to the point we all can enjoy it now.
According to developers, 30 fps is a target for Cities Skylines 2 as a sweet spot for a comfortable game and smooth simulation. At 720p resolution and all settings to a minimum Ryzen 5 5600U could produce on average 20 fps. Vega 7 chip is not the most powerful GPU out there but it can run this game which is quite an achievement because this is not a low-spec game.
The gameplay was mostly smooth and the simulation was very good. When in building mode everything was smooth and precision wasn't a problem at all.
Daytime gameplay was much better and produced more fps than nighttime. The complexity of graphics in CS2, especially at night, put a strain on the integrated GPU.
RAM usage was high. The iGPU used more than 3.5 GB for VRAM. This game definitely needs a minimum of 16 GB for comfortable play. Dual-channel mode is also a must as in single-channel we will have to sacrifice around 20% performance and that would make the game completely unplayable.
The audio was great all the time. Noise from busy cities or silent parts of the outskirts was pure pleasure for my ears.
