Skyrim (PS3) Gameplay -No Commentary-
A good friend of mine gave me a free copy of Skyrim on the PS3 a couple of years ago, and considering I have still yet to play through Skyrim in any form, I gladly accepted. You should never say no to a free Skyrim.
As for the various ports, apparently the PS3 version was the worst running version, outside of playing it on an under powered PC at the time. Every other version of the game seems to run smoother than the PS3 version. That being said, the PS3 version is still a fine way to play the game. Could I get it for cheap on Steam and play a better running version of the game? Yeah, but why should I encourage them to re-release this game yet again. The PS3 version may not run or look the best, but I'm sure the design and gameplay are the same no matter what version you play. Newer versions, I would hope, are less buggy, but this is Bethesda, so there's no telling.
I don't mind playing it at 30fps or lower. The kids today consider 30fps unplayable, but it's not. To those who can't handle 25-30fps, your bloodline is weak, and no one will remember your name, Mwuahahaha. I mean, seriously it's really not that big of a deal to me as I recently played through a large portion of Doom on the Snes which I found to be playable after I adjusted to the chuggieness of it.
Skyrim plays just fine on the PS3, and was a great way to play it back when it hit. I know it may not run the best, but chances are, if this was the version you owned, you played it, and loved it at the time, and didn't care about it's performace, because all of bethesda's games on the PS360 had myriads of technical issues. You just kind of got used to the issues, and enjoyed the game despite those issues.
