This is video #119 in my playthrough of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition on the PlayStation 4. I am playing the game vanilla. This game has been rated M for Mature by the ESRB. Previously, Davilas did the Daedric quest "The Taste of Death". He also did a few miscellaneous objectives in and around Markarth. Now, he will work on "The Forsworn Conspiracy". This quest started when he witnessed a murder upon arriving in Markarth.

After resuming, Davilas goes to the Shrine of Talos in Markarth and meets with Eltrys, who passed him a note telling him to meet him there. Eltrys wants Davilas to find evidence about Margret, the victim, and Weylin, the killer. It sounds like this is only the latest in a string of murders.

To seek evidence about Margret, Davilas goes to the Silver-Blood Inn. There, he talks to Kleppr, the innkeeper, and asks about Margret. Margret was staying here for a while. Davilas has already gotten the Key to Margret's Room from her body.

In Margret's room, Davilas finds Margret's Journal in an end table. After reading this, he has to find evidence about Thonar Silver-Blood.

Upon leaving the inn, Davilas is confronted by a soldier. It sounds like his investigation is already making people nervous.

To investigate Thonar, Davilas heads to the Treasury House in the north of the city. After bribing the receptionist, Rhiada, Davilas can legally enter Thonar's room.

Davilas talks to Thonar Silver-Blood in one of the back rooms. He is not friendly. After the conversation, a couple of people attack the Treasury House and kill Thonar's wife. Thonar will talk some more now. Apparently, the Forsworn king, Madanach, is his prisoner in Cidhna Mine, and now Madanach is causing the Forsworn rebellion. He also is not happy about Davilas's investigation.

Now, to investigate Weylin, the killer, Davilas goes to the Warrens in the south of town. Just inside the Warrens, he talks to Garvey. After asking about Weylin, Davilas can appropriate the key to Weylin's room through persuasion, intimidation, or bribery.

Weylin's room is the last room on the right. In Weylin's chest, Davilas finds "Weylin's Note". After reading it, Davilas must learn the identity of the author, who only signed the name "N".

When Davilas leaves the Warrens, he is confronted by a certain Dryston. Davilas must brawl and defeat Dryston without killing him. Afterwards, Dryston will talk. "N" is a man named Nepos the Nose.

To find evidence about Nepos, Davilas goes to Nepos's House in the north of the city. Initially, Uaile, the housekeeper, tells Davilas to leave, but Nepos tells her to let him in. Then, Davilas talks to Nepos the Nose. Nepos spills his guts. He has been loyal to Madanach for a long time. After the conversation, Nepos and his household will attack. They should not have. Nepos's Journal offers further insight.

After investigating these leads, Davilas goes to the Shrine of Talos to report to Eltrys. But it is too late. Soldiers are there to kill Eltrys and take Davilas into custody. "The Forsworn Conspiracy" complete!

Then, Davilas finds himself in Cidhna Mine. The next quest, "No One Escapes Cidhna Mine", begins. The guard, Urzoga, explains the situation.

Outside his cell, he talks to a man named Uraccen. When asked about a shiv, Uraccen issues the objective "Talk to Grisvar about getting a shiv". Then, when asked about Madanach, he talks about Borkul the Beast, who is standing nearby.

Davilas talks to Borkul the Beast. When asked about Madanach, Borkul asks for a shiv.

Davilas then talks to Grisvar the Unlucky. When asked about a shiv, he issues the objective "Get a bottle of Skooma for Grisvar".

Down another tunnel, Davilas talks to Duach. He easily persuades Duach to give him some Skooma. Now, Davilas must "Bring Grisvar the Skooma".

Davilas delivers the Skooma to Grisvar. Grisvar gives him a Shiv. This concludes the objectives to get a Shiv.

Then, Davilas delivers the Shiv to Borkul the Beast. Borkul gives him Borkul's Key and allows him past to talk to Madanach.

Past Borkul, Davilas talks to Madanach, the King in Rags. Davilas can choose to take revenge and kill Madanach, but that will make escaping the mine more difficult. Instead, Davilas chooses a more measured approach. Madanach tells Davilas to talk to another prisoner named Braig.

Elsewhere in the mines, Davilas talks to Braig and hears his story. It is kind of tragic.
