Previously, Ardyn continued knocking out the Wall Amplifiers in Insomnia. Now, he will take out the last one and then head to the Citadel.

After resuming, Ardyn takes out the Sector G Wall Amplifier in the southwest of the city. As soon as he arrives at the amplifier, a large number of Royal Guards confronts him. When all the Manafonts are taken out, Ardyn must defeat a The Fierce Guardian and more Royal Guards.

Ardyn has now taken out all the generators. For taking over all sectors of Insomnia, the player earns the trophy "Insomnia Insurgence".

Ardyn finishes gathering up the last of the treasure in Insomnia.

When Ardyn approaches the gates to the Citadel, hordes of Royal Guards attack, and Ardyn must defeat them. The final wave consists of a The Fierce Guardian and a The Rogue Guardian.

Before going in, Ardyn finishes picking up all his abilities under Descension. It is not too hard if you went after all the Wall Amplifiers.

For unlocking all of Ardyn's abilities, the player earns the silver trophy "Mastering the Darkness".

Then, Ardyn heads into the Citadel for the sequence of final boss fights. After a scene, he does battle with Regis Lucis Caelum. Look out for Regis to use a barrier late in the battle.

A scene takes place after Regis is defeated. Afterwards, the final boss fight against Somus Lucis Caelum begins. Ardyn's phantasm bar will fill pretty quickly here. Partway through the battle, Somnus will summon a big sword and will begin warping around the battlefield. Look out for a quick-time event at the end of the fight.

The final scenes begin playing after the battle. I am not sure what happens if Ardyn chooses to resist his fate. Then, the credits play with scenes mixed in. A brief scene takes place after the credits.

Well, this episode was pretty fun, especially for the gameplay. However, I feel like Episode Ignis had the best story among the DLCs.

For completing Episode Ardyn on Normal, the player earns the trophy "The Nightmare Ends".

After completing Episode Ardyn, new information is added to the Datalog. A new hat shop opens for business. The Mutant Rakshasa Blade is unlocked in the main game, and so is the Ardyn's Ensemble for Noctis. The Kingly Clash is unlocked in Episode Ardyn.

Afterwards, I load up a save file in the main game to show some of the things unlocked during the DLC episodes.

This concludes my playthrough of Final Fantasy XV. This has been an enjoyable game to play. I don't feel it's the best game in the series by any stretch; that honor still remains with Final Fantasy VI, even after all this time. But I enjoy the interactions between the main cast, and Ardyn is a pretty decent villain. The story is pretty decent, though the exploration of Gralea is strange without a human presence. There are plenty of quests and hunts without being too overwhelming to the player. I would have preferred a more classic turn-based or ATB system, though. The lengthy loading screens can be a pain.

I guess the next Final Fantasy that will be coming out is Final Fantasy VII Remake. I am really looking forward to that one.
