Previously, after Ardyn daemonified Ifrit, he began an assault of Insomnia during Founder's Day. He took down two of seven Wall Amplifiers. He will now continue doing this so that Verstael can send in an Imperial assault.

After resuming at the Insomnia City Center campground/bench near the citadel gates, Ardyn continues going after the city's Wall Amplifiers, gathering treasures, and tearing up the town.

He first takes out the Sector F Wall Amplifier in the northwest of town. This one has three The Fierce Guardians. With three Wall Amplifiers down, Ardyn can now head for the Citadel. However, he will first take down the rest of the Wall Amplifiers in the city.

Then, he takes out the Sector E Wall Amplifier in the southwest. One The Rogue Guardian appears after one Manafont is destroyed. Two appear after three Manafonts have been destroyed. When the Manafonts are all taken out, the last The Rogue Guardian for this amplifier appears. The player earns the trophy "The Pyreburner's Keeper" for using Ifrit's techniques ten times.

Next, Ardyn takes out the Sector D Wall Amplifier a short distance east of Sector E. Destroying all the Manafonts releases a The Rogue Guardian to attack. More enemies, including a The Fierce Guardian, appear after Sector E is overtaken.

The player earns the trophy "King of the Daemons" for daemonifying 100 enemies. Also, the player earns the trophy "Fallen Savior" for inflicting Royal Retribution 10 times.

Finally, Ardyn takes out the Sector C Wall Amplifier. Destroying all the Manafonts releases a The Fierce Guardian to attack. It will eventually summon a The Rogue Guardian as reinforcements.

Next time, Ardyn will take out the final Wall Amplifier before heading to the Citadel.
