Previously, Davilas did the quest "The Heart of Dibella", which started in Markarth. Now, he will wrap up most of the objectives available in Markarth.
In the morning, he speaks to Ghorza gra-Bagol at the forge west of Understone Keep. When asked about her apprentice, Ghorza asks Davilas to find a copy of "The Last Scabbard of Akrash". This starts the objective "Bring The Last Scabbard of Akrash to Ghorza".
The destination is shown at Fort Sungard between Whiterun and Markarth. It is quite close to Gjukar's Monument and Rorikstead, so Davilas fast-travels to Gjukar's Monument.
Fort Sungard is on a promontory southwest of Gjukar's Monument. There are presently Stormcloaks there, and they don't appreciate trespassers. In the Fort Sungard Muster, Davilas finds and takes a copy of "The Last Scabbard of Akrash". When read, this increases Smithing.
Davilas fast-travels back to Markarth. There, he delivers the book to Ghorza. In repayment, she gives him even more training in Smithing. Very nice. This concludes Ghorza's objective.
In the market near Arnleif and Sons and the Silver-Blood Inn, Davilas talks to one shopkeeper, Kerah. When asked how long she has been in town, she issues the objective "Deliver the ring to Calcelmo" and provides the ring to be delivered to the court wizard.
In Understone Keep, Davilas delivers Kerah's ring to Calcelmo. Calcelmo rewards him with some gold. This concludes Kerah's objective.
Still in Understone Keep, Davilas talks to the blacksmith, Moth gro-Bagol. When asked about armor, Moth issues the objective "Bring a Daedra's Heart to Moth". He needs a Daedra's Heart to use in his work.
To get a Daedra's Heart, Davilas fast-travels to the Shrine of Mehrunes Dagon. Within the shrine, he defeats a couple of Dremora, which carry Daedra Hearts. The shrine also contains some goodies that Davilas can take. He reads "Catalogue of Armor Enchantments", which increases Enchanting when read.
Davilas fast-travels back to Understone Keep in Markarth. At the forge inside the castle, he delivers the Daedra's Heart to Moth gro-Bagol. Moth rewards him with some leveled gear. This concludes Moth's objective.
Then, Davilas talks to Jarl Thongvor Silver-Blood, who serves when the Stormcloaks have control of Markarth. When asked what else he needs, Thongvor issues the objectives to become Thane of the Reach: "Purchase a house in Markarth" and "Assist the people of the Reach (?/5)". Davilas has already assisted enough people.
Davilas talks to Reburrus, the current steward, and purchases a house in Markarth. This concludes the objective to buy a house. It starts a new objective, "Visit Vlindrel Hall, your new house". Now that the requirements for thanehood are met, Davilas gets the objective "Return to Thongvor".
Davilas reports to Thongvor. Thongvor names him Thane of the Reach. He gives him the Blade of the Reach and assigns him a housecarl.
High in the northeast of town, Davilas enters Vlindrel Hall. This concludes the objective to visit his new house. Davilas's new housecarl, Argis the Bulwark, will be here.
Then, at Arnleif and Sons Trading Company, Davilas talks to Lisbet, the shopkeeper. She was also at Namira's feast. When Davilas comments that the store has seen better days, she issues the objective "Retrieve Lisbet's shipment from Druadach Redoubt". Her shipment was intercepted by--what else?--Forsworn.
Druadach Redoubt is located in the north of the Reach. To get there, Davilas fast-travels to Bthardamz. Druadach Redoubt is northeast of Bthardamz. Inside Druadach Redoubt, Davilas will find Madanach and company if he helped Madanach escape Cidhna Mine, and they will not be hostile.
Davilas has no problem recovering Lisbet's Dibella Statue. After that, he must "Bring the Dibella Statue to Lisbet".
Davilas fast-travels back to Markarth. At Arnleif and Sons, he turns in the statue to Lisbet. She rewards him with a nice sum of gold. This concludes Lisbet's objective.
Then, at the forge in the southwest, Davilas talks to Omluag, a worker. When Davilas observes that he has been having problems with Mulush, Omluag issues the objective "Talk to Mulush about Omluag".
