Don't you just hate it, trying to figure out the alchemical properties of various ingredients? You either need to look up a list online, invest in the alchemy perk which is honestly a waste of perk point, try out all kinds of different combinations at the alchemy table which is a big waste of ingredients, OR eat those ingredients to figure out what they do.

Hi everyone, this is Thyworm with the latest modding news and mod reviews and today we'll take a look at the Skyrim SE Mod Alchemical Notes.

Zuzer2123 came up with a very good idea to counter this issue. Just as the game offers recipes to create potions, Zuzer offers a mod that adds books to the game that explain to you about a specific alchecmical preoprty and in which ingreidents this property can be found.

Now that's good information to have, but ideally you don't want to swap between the alchemy table and your inventory all the time, because you forgot the ingredients. Zuzer therefore madee sure that once you read the book, your ingredients get updated with the newlyu found properties. Great implementation of this mod.

So for example, before entering the Riverwood Trader, i'm not aware that a thistle branch contains the ravage stamina property. I'm buying the book, read it, and get the pop-up and when checking my inventory, it's all there :)

These book can be found all over Skyrim. They're pretty expensive, but it does save you a lot of time and costly ingredients, so if you're into discovering ingredient properties in an immersive way, this mod is the way to go.
