Down past Dragonbridge I noticed an extremely large fallen tree across the road, then noticed the band of goblins which set up a small camp on the other side of it, I got in close enough to see they'd killed a farmer and a horse, taken what they could from it. The goblins weren't yet attacking me, not sure why, but probably not sure whether it was smart to given my attire and confidence, mages aren't to be taken lightly, never know how experienced and what kind of pain they could inflict with their spells. It didn't matter, I started the battle, certainly wasn't going to let this little turds block off the road and kill people trying to pass by. A few minutes later the battle is over and little dead green guys lay about with their pets.

On the road I passed by a small dog, was laying along the side and got up as I drew near, running away barking, not sure what was with that, but I continued on. Fort Snowhawk used to be a military base years ago, but since bandits had taken it over from what I heard, and I nearly passed the place by until I realized those weren't bandits guarding the place, those were skeletons and above paced a mage, necromancer. Looks like Fort Snowhawk has a new set of residents, time to evict them. There were a lot of necromancers here and of course skeletons, and I found myself running around the top of the wall as my conjurations weren't able to take all of them at once and some were attacking me, so all I could do was keep moving, took a few hits, but at least I'm still alive.

Once the outside of the fort was cleared we, myself and my conjurations, went inside to get the rest of them. Found a journal, indeed the necromancer did overtake the place, killed or ran off whatever bandits were there and were planning on this being a long term stay, a place of operations and home to conduct their experiments. Found a passage too that led outside at the edge of the marsh. Morthal is said to be near here, I should go there next.
