Smash Replay 5: Final Smash Hog (08/06/15)
A friend of mine, Overhazard here on YouTube, has recently coined a term relating to opportunistic fighters in Smash Bros. that hang back from the action a majority of the time, and then swoop in to kill steal. Naming them Blofelds, named so from the James Bond villain Ernst Starvo Blofeld, these players are aggravating to fight against, aren't they? Well, I think I found footage of one in the wild. Let's watch!
Online / With Anyone (For Fun) / Smash
Windy Hill Zone
Ryu, Olimar, Fox (me), Villager
The Blofeld in question would be the female Villager. Able to hang out beneath the stage where no one else can go...Villager ran and hid for most of the match, and while some would attack her (like myself)...there wasn't much headway being made here. And then she held onto the Final Smash for the majority of the match....I find this kind of funny in hindsight. We all get SUPER cautious and hang back...and even when we knock the super out of her, she got it back! After all of this, its almost sad Villager didn't get a KO from that Final Smash right at the end.
An often-forgotten fact about the springs in this stage is that they rotate and move around, and that led to Villager's Sudden Death demise here. Unlucky there, huh?
