Match 75: Lucas (Me) vs. Jo (Mii....Jo) vs. Wario (Unagi) vs. Ryu (Lombardi88)

Lombardi here is practicing his Ryu here, and for the matches I was there for at least, that's all he picked. Now, I can appreciate his skill with such a technical character but uh...repetitive sound clips are repetitive. Most fighting games don't record multiple sound clips though. They can't ALL be as nice as Skullgirls!

So yes, Mom here is out for blood in this match! Here's hoping she makes the jump to playable character in the next Smash title. I'm kidding...OR AM I?! And, as always, scrambling for Daybreak pieces leads to some chaos....and my Assist Trophy kinda backfires on me and throws off my PK Thunder aim at the WORST possible time. Bad dog!

Riders of the Light is SUCH an awesome battle theme! Even if there are no vocal songs for Bayo in Smash 4 the music's a great listen anyways! The Star Fox characters always seem beyond me in Smash, not sure why....but I do like Falco!

Around the 5:00 mark, you'll notice something interesting. A), this is the WORST usage of the Stopwatch I've ever seen (take that, me!) and B) Ike apparently gains super armor when doing attacks in this game, and in the slowed down state that armor's duration also increases? Boo! The ending to this fight is quite...explosive, wouldn't you say? What a way to go....

Elevation (Custom Stage)
Friends Match

Any time a Custom Stage comes up, it's a reason to celebrate! Here's Elevation, a stage by Lombardi88. Neat idea overall. I'm confused as to how the floating platforms can go through solid ground though. Closer inspection suggests that we're fighting on semi-solid platforms that you could drop down through, but the stuff below it prevents it? Is that right? Please explain this new Stage Builder to me, Sakurai!!

Lucario and Mewtwo try their best, but maybe they ought to go back to their OWN fighting game (where they're OP!) and let the Ryu's duke it out! Also, fun Hot Potato with the Daybreak!

Final match from this session, we've got a goodun! I'm normally not the camping type, but not only does this stage kinda encourage it, but Pit's arrows are so fun to control!

The final moments of this match are some of the most intense I've ever experienced in Smash Bros., I tell ya what! Victory seemed so sure with the Lightning Bolt...AND THEN.

As for the Sudden Death...look closely. Pit's Arrows can't KO in Sudden Death, I actually hit the Header and sent THAT into WFT. To-Totally what I aimed at! All according to plan!

OK, so that'll do it for these fights! Hopefully I'll get back to Pokken soon, but this was a fun detour! Until next time!
