1"Snow Bros." is a 1990 platform arcade game developed by Toaplan and published by Romstar. Players control snowmen twins, Nick and Tom, as they journey through 50 stages, throwing snowballs, jumping platforms, and defeating monsters to rescue princesses Puripuri and Puchipuchi.
Players control Nick (P1) and Tom (P2) through 50 stages, aiming to rescue twin princesses Puripuri and Puchipuchi from captivity. Enemies are turned into snowballs when hit with snow, which players can then roll or throw to eliminate other enemies.
Bonus money falls from the sky if all enemies are taken out quickly. Evil pumpkin heads appear if players take too much time on a level. They spawn invincible ghosts that seek the player.
Potions dropped by enemies provide power-ups: red increases speed, blue increases snow coverage, yellow increases throwing distance, and green allows temporary flying and enemy knockouts. Hidden bonus secrets help achieve high scores and extra lives. If a single player loses a life, they respawn at the starting location. Losing all lives ends the game unless more credits are used to continue.
The NES version adds a unique story where Nick and Tom are human princes cursed into snowmen by the evil demon King Scorch.
The game received positive reviews and later got ported to multiple platforms, with some changes and additions.
