Welcome back to Sonic FGX,

Last time we finished the main story where we destroyed Eggman's latest model of the Hyper Egg Robo.

This time we showcase the unlockables of the game beginning with the four unlockable characters.

Espio the Chameleon is unlocked after beating the game once, he can do a Double Jump by pressing Z in mid-air, Espio can also throw a Shuriken by pressing X, he throws it straight ahead when on the ground but he throws it downwards at a right angle when used in mid-air, and lastly he can use a smoke bomb by pressing the C button.

Rouge the Bat is unlocked after beating the game with two characters, she can glide and climb walls just like Knuckles, as her attack she kicks these kicks can destroy power barriers, in mid-air by pressing X Rouge can do the Drill Dive from Sonic Adventure 2 to destroy power barriers located underneath her.

Silver the Hedgehog is unlocked after beating the game with 3 characters, Silver is the newest Character to be playable in this game only introduced in Sonic the Hedgehog for the PS3/XBOX360 while this game came out in 2008 therefor all of Silver's abilities are a 2D interpretation of his moveset from Sonic 06, and that moveset is, Levitate which Silver can use to can some height by holding the Z button in mid-air, he can also use this to clear some gaps by mashing the Z button to gain horizontal space instead of vertical.
Silver can also use his mind for a Psychic Shock attack to destroy enemies right next to him, lastly Silver can use his Psychokinesis to pickup objects in the stage or projectiles fired by enemies and throw them at enemies.

Metal Sonic is the final unlockable character who is unlocked by beating the game with 4 different characters and he can use the Homing Attack but not the Wall Jump because Metal can jump higher than any other character on their own, Metal Sonic can also use his Black Shield from Sonic Adventure 2 Multiplayer to become completely invulnerable from attacks, Metal Sonic also has the highest top speed of any character in the game but lacks a boost mode which he makes up for by simply using his speed to destroy enemies by running into them.

After this we go and finish the story of the game in which Eggman fires a missile at Angel Island and Sonic has to use the power of the Chaos Emeralds to transform into Super Sonic in order to destroy the missile after ramming into it a couple of time the missile blows up above the ocean and Sonic flies of to everyone watching (including Shadow why didn't he help).

After you finish the Final Story you unlock Super Sonic, and Super Shadow

These two work different from any other character in the game by proxy of them being Super forms of Sonic and Shadow, to use these you need to pick them in the character select and collect 50 rings as either Sonic or Shadow and after that pressing X in mid-air transforms you into the super form, both Super forms work the same and gain enormous amounts of speed which they can access by pressing the C button to boost, pressing X makes them do the Chaos Spear which is the only difference between the two, Sonic shoots 6 Chaos Spears in a circle around him that home in on enemies and Shadow shoots four blasts of Roaming Chaos energy that homes in on enemies, both super forms can also fly by holding the up button when jumping they can now go in all directions without getting tired, lastly they can destroy power barriers by running into them, they revert to their normal state when they run out of rings or when you hold the X button for a while.

When you beat the game with every character we unlock the Mission mode which makes you do some various missions like race another character in the games multiplayer(on your own) or find a lost chao, etc.

By completing all 7 of these missions you unlock the final character in the game a reference to Sonic X the Anime, with Dark Super Sonic which first appeared in the third season of Sonic X I won't go into detail because spoilers.

Dark Super Sonic plays like Super Sonic but he is activated by building up a meter in the top left of the screen this meter fills up by collecting rings and destroying enemies but the best way is to take damage, when the gauge is full Sonic transforms into Dark Super Sonic the same way as Super Sonic, and his abilities are the same except that instead of Chaos Spear, Dark Super Sonic shoots out one energy ball at enemies.

Lastly when playing as Super Sonic go to Sky Sanctuary Zone and follow my moves to find the seven Super Emeralds lying there when you find them they can upgrade Super Sonic by giving Sonic the ability to transform into the only once used rainbow form Hyper Sonic which outside of a different look is no different from Super Sonic
